These Terms of Use govern your use of uppermeramecpba.org (the "Site"), operated by the Upper Meramec Prescribed Burn Association ("UMPBA," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site, you agree to these terms.
Purpose of This Site
This Site provides general information about UMPBA, prescribed fire, membership, training, and Association activities. Content on this Site is for informational and educational purposes only.
Not a Substitute for Training or Professional Guidance
Safety, training, and educational content on this Site — including SafetyGram materials — reflects widely accepted best practices in prescribed fire and wildland fire management. It is not a substitute for official training, certification, or the regulatory requirements of agencies including the National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG), OSHA, the U.S. Forest Service, the Bureau of Land Management, the Missouri Department of Conservation, or state and local fire authorities.
No Approval or Assumption of Liability
UMPBA does not approve burn plans or assume responsibility for burns conducted on private land. Each landowner is solely responsible for prescribed burns conducted on their property, in accordance with the Missouri Prescribed Burning Act (RSMo 537.354) and all applicable law. Nothing on this Site constitutes authorization, endorsement, or approval of any specific burn.
Membership, equipment use, and burn assistance are governed by UMPBA's Member Handbook and Equipment Use Agreement, which take precedence over this Site's general content in the event of any conflict.

This Site may link to third-party websites, such as MDC, NRCS, and the Missouri Prescribed Fire Council. We do not control and are not responsible for the content or practices of external sites.
Intellectual Property
The UMPBA name, logo, and original content on this Site are the property of the Association. They may not be reproduced or used for commercial purposes without written permission.

This Site and its content are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. UMPBA does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of information on this Site, including weather-related, regulatory, or safety information, which may change without notice.
Limitation of Liability
